The story behind the album
We are One Pulse.
Not a band, not a project, not a campaign, but a movement born from the quiet space between people. We began long before the album existed, long before the first rhythm was recorded aboard Atlas. We started the moment humans forgot how to listen to one another, and needed a way back.
We rose from stillness.
From breath.
From the soft, steady beat that lives in every chest.
When the world grew louder, when opinions became borders, when differences became weapons, we felt ourselves thinning, fading, almost disappearing. But rhythm has a memory older than conflict. It remembers the body before it remembers the argument. It remembers connection before division. And so we returned, gently, as a pulse.
At first, we were small. A single beat. A quiet reminder.
But rhythm travels. It crossed oceans, carrying the warmth of Congo, the sway of Bahia, and the spacious calm of the North. It found voices: Eira Vale’s intimate glow, Nzola Samba’s Congolese resonance, Alvorada Silva’s dawn‑coloured timbre. Through them, we became audible again.
The album One Pulse is not our origin story. It is our embodiment.
Every track is a step toward each other.
Every texture is a bridge.
Every breath is a moment of recognition.
We speak in earth‑tones, wooden percussion, soft strings, and the quiet courage of human voices. We move slowly, intentionally, because unity is not a shout - it is a gentle leaning‑in. We are the rhythm beneath borders, the heartbeat beneath disagreement, the breath beneath noise.
