About the Collective

North of Silence Collective emerged from a period of profound change.

When familiar structures collapsed, founder Hans Edens found himself standing outside everything he once recognised: outside certainty, outside direction, outside the circle he believed he belonged to. In response, he turned to creativity, not as an ambition, but as a way forward.

The album Outside the Circle became the foundation of that journey. More than a musical project, it served as a means of navigating loss, renewal and the gradual rediscovery of purpose. Its songs trace the contours of lived experience while holding space for transformation, resilience and hope.

From those beginnings, North of Silence Collective evolved into an independent creative universe where music, storytelling and imagination converge. It is a place where sound becomes narrative, where characters find their voices, and where silence is valued not as absence, but as a form of listening.

Central to this world are voices such as Eira Vale, Nzola Samba and Alvorada Silva. Each represents a distinct perspective within the Collective's creative landscape. They are not intended as representations of existing artists, but as original artistic voices through which different stories, emotions and cultural experiences can be explored.

Together, these voices expand the circle that once seemed closed, transforming it into a shared space of connection and possibility. Through music, visual storytelling and ongoing creative projects, the Collective continues to grow while remaining rooted in the values that inspired its creation.
